Takum

Takum is a Local Government Area (LGA) located in Taraba State, Nigeria. The administrative headquarters of the area is the town of Takum. It was officially established in June 1976 following its creation from the Wukari local government.

The region shares a southern border with the Republic of Cameroon and is bounded by Ussa Local Government to the west and Donga Local Government to the north. The LGA is divided into eleven electoral wards, including Bete, Chanchanji, Dutse, Fete, Gahweton, Kashimbila, Manya, Rogo, Shibong, Tikari, and Yukuben.

Numerous districts are situated within the Takum Local Government Area, such as Angwan Dutse, Angwa Abuja, Fadama, Sufa, Shimta, Kufi, Lufu, and many others. These areas comprise the diverse geographical and administrative landscape of the region.
