Aguata is a Local Government Area (LGA) located in Anambra State, Nigeria. It is situated within the Anambra South senatorial district and serves as an administrative division for the region.
The headquarters of the Aguata Local Government Area are divided between two primary locations: the town of Aguluezechukwu, which contains a major part of the headquarters, and Ekwulobia, which houses a smaller portion. As of recent data, the area has a recorded population of 286,897 people.
