Ikara is a town and local government area (LGA) situated in the northern region of Nigeria within Kaduna State. It is located approximately 85 kilometers north-east of the city of Zaria.
The Ikara local government area spans between latitudes 10°2¹ and 11°5¹ north. The administrative area encompasses several towns and villages, including Ikara, Malikachi, Furana, Danlawan, Kurmin Kogi, Janfalan, Auchan, Paki, and Pala.
