Ikot Abasi is a town and local government area situated in the southwestern corner of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. It serves as a geographical point bounded by Oruk Anam Local Government Area to the north, and Mkpat Enin and Eastern Obolo Local Government Areas to the east.
The region is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the south and the Imo River to the west, which acts as the natural boundary separating it from Rivers State. The area is home to the Federal University of Technology Ikot Abasi, a federal government-owned university located within the town.
