Gwagwalada is a city and local government area situated within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria. It serves as a significant administrative and cultural hub in the region.
The city functions as the traditional headquarters for the Bassa people in the FCT. The traditional leadership of this group is held by an Agụma, a position currently occupied by HRH Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji.
