Abaji

Abaji is a town and local government area located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of Nigeria. Established in 1986, it serves as an important gateway to the FCT and is characterized by rapid growth due to a significant influx of people seeking new livelihoods.

The Abaji Area Council covers approximately 1,100 square kilometres, making it the area council situated furthest from Abuja. According to a 2006 national census, the population of the region exceeded 46,600 inhabitants.
