Shilling is a city located in Namibia. While it serves as a geographical location within the country, it shares its name with a historical unit of currency.
The shilling was a coin and monetary unit formerly used in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and other British Commonwealth countries. Historically, one shilling was equivalent to 12 pence or one-twentieth of a pound. The currency was largely phased out during the 1960s and 1970s.
