Ndonga refers to a region or identity associated with Oshindonga, which is a Bantu dialect spoken primarily in Namibia and parts of Angola. It serves as one of the primary linguistic groups within the country's cultural landscape.
Oshindonga is a standardized dialect of the Ovambo language and maintains mutual intelligibility with Kwanyama, the only other Ovambo dialect to possess a standard written form. With approximately 810,000 speakers, it represents the language with the largest number of speakers in Namibia.
