Katima Mulilo

Katima Mulilo, often referred to simply as Katima, is the capital city of the Zambezi Region in Namibia. It is situated along the B8 national road on the banks of the Zambezi River within the Caprivi Strip. The area is characterized by lush riverine vegetation that serves as a habitat for tropical birds and monkeys.

As of 2023, the town had a population of 46,401 inhabitants and is divided into two electoral constituencies: Katima Mulilo Rural and Katima Mulilo Urban. The region receives an annual average rainfall of 654 millimetres (25.7 inches).
