Sipitang

Sipitang is a town located in Malaysia that serves as the capital of the Sipitang District within the Interior Division of Sabah. It is situated approximately 44 kilometres south of Beaufort and 144 kilometres south of Kota Kinabalu, which is the state capital. The town is also positioned about 123 kilometres north of Long Pasia.

The area is notable for being the closest town in Sabah to the Sarawak border. As of a 2010 estimate, the population of Sipitang was approximately 4,298 residents.
