Sibu Jaya is a satellite township located within the Sibu District of Sarawak, Malaysia. It is situated in the rural areas of the district, which cover a total area of 2,100.3 km2.
The broader Sibu District is an administrative division spanning 2,229.8 km2 and is governed by two local authorities: the Sibu Municipal Council (SMC), which manages Sibu City, and the Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC), which oversees the rural regions including Sibu Jaya.
