Sibu

Sibu is a city located in the central region of Sarawak, Malaysia, on the island of Borneo. It serves as the capital of the Sibu District within the Sibu Division.

The city covers an area of 129.5 square kilometres (50.0 sq mi) and is situated at the confluence of the Rajang and Igan Rivers. Geographically, it is positioned approximately 60 kilometres from the South China Sea and 191.5 kilometres (119 mi) north-east of Kuching, the state capital.
