Lawas is a small town located in Sarawak, Malaysia. It serves as the administrative capital of the Lawas District within the Limbang Division.
The district covers an area of 3,811.90 square kilometres and has a recorded population of 46,200. Geographically, the town is situated approximately 1,200 km from Kuching, the state capital of Sarawak, and 200 km from Kota Kinabalu, the capital city of Sabah.
