Kapit is a town located in Sarawak, Malaysia. It serves as the capital of the Kapit District within the Kapit Division and is situated on the south bank of the Rajang River.
The district covers an area of 15,595.6 square kilometres. As of 2020, the population of the district was recorded at 65,800 residents.
