Bagan Serai

Bagan Serai is a mukim located in the Kerian District of Perak, Malaysia. It is situated approximately 52 km (32 mi) southeast of George Town, which serves as the capital city of the neighboring state of Penang.

The town is considered part of the George Town Conurbation, the second largest metropolitan area in Malaysia. Due to this proximity, Bagan Serai's logistical requirements are supported by the well-developed transportation infrastructure of Penang. The area is also notable as the birthplace of Lee Chong Wei, who was Malaysia's number one badminton player.
