Pekan

Pekan is a town located in the Pekan District of Pahang, Malaysia. It serves as the royal capital of the state and shares its name with the district in which it is situated. The name of the town originates from a flower known as the Bunga Pekan.

The town is the home of the state's royal family, which is headed by Sultan Abdullah of Pahang. It also holds historical significance as the hometown of Malaysia's second Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak Hussein, and his son, the sixth prime minister, Datuk Seri Najib Razak. Both individuals served as Members of Parliament for Pekan.
