Jerantut is a town located in the Jerantut District of Pahang, Malaysia. It serves as the administrative center for the district, which is the largest in the state of Pahang and covers an area of 2,900 square miles.
The district is bordered by the states of Kelantan and Terengganu to the north, while it shares boundaries with the Temerloh and Maran districts to the south, Lipis and Raub to the west, and Kuantan and the state of Terengganu to the east. The region consists of 10 mukims containing 295 villages administered under 58 JKKK.
Local governance for the town is provided by the Jerantut District Council, which was gazetted on February 18, 1982. This local authority was formerly known as the Jerantut Town Board.
