Alor Gajah is a town and the district seat of the Alor Gajah District located in the Malaysian state of Malacca. It serves as a primary administrative center for its surrounding region.
The town is governed by the Alor Gajah Municipal Council. This local government body was previously known as the Alor Gajah District Council from July 1, 1978, until May 1, 2003.
