Kuala Krai is a town situated in the coterminous Kuala Krai District in southern-central Kelantan, Malaysia. During the period of British protection, the settlement was known as Kuala Lebir.
The town is located at an altitude of 53 metres (177 ft) above sea level. It sits approximately 67 km from the state capital of Kota Bharu and 273 km from the national capital, Kuala Lumpur.
