Gelang Patah is a town located in the Iskandar Puteri region of the Johor Bahru District in Johor, Malaysia. It serves as a local administrative area within the state's southern region.
The political history of Gelang Patah is characterized by long-term shifts in governance. The town was administered by the ruling coalition, Barisan Nasional (BN), for more than 50 years until the 13th Malaysian General Election. Subsequently, the opposition party Pakatan Harapan won the seat during both the 14th and 15th General Elections.
