Batu Pahat, also known as Bandar Penggaram or by its initials BP, is a town located in the state of Johor, Malaysia. It serves as the capital of the Batu Pahat District and is situated within the Simpang Kanan parish.
The town is positioned south-east of Muar, south-west of Kluang, north-west of Pontian, and south of Segamat. It functions as a primary administrative and geographic center for its surrounding district.
