Kasungu is a town located in the Kasungu District within the Central Region of Malawi. It serves as a local hub situated approximately 130 kilometres (81 mi) north-west of the national capital, Lilongwe, and lies about 35 kilometres (22 mi) east of Kasungu National Park.
The town's primary economic activity is centered on tobacco-growing. According to the 2018 census, the population of Kasungu was recorded at 58,653 residents.
