Mġarr, formerly known as Mgiarro, is a rural village located in the Northern Region of Malta. It is situated to the west of Mosta and remains relatively isolated from nearby towns and cities.
The area surrounding Mġarr consists primarily of farmland and vineyards. Due to this geography, many residents, known as Imġarrin, are farmers or are otherwise involved in agricultural activities. As of July 2024, the village had a population of 5,336 people, consisting of 4,518 Maltese nationals and 818 foreign nationals.
