Maghtab

Malta

Magħtab is a village located in Malta within the local council of Naxxar. It is situated in a valley that shares its name.

The area is most notably known as the site of Mount Magħtab, which was the largest landfill on the island of Malta. Although this specific landfill was closed following Malta's accession to the European Union in 2004, two other landfills were subsequently opened elsewhere.
