Xagħra is an administrative unit located on the island of Gozo in Malta. Situated northeast of Victoria, the capital of Gozo, it serves as the second-largest town on the island. According to the 2021 census, Xagħra has a population of 5,161 residents.
The area is notable for being one of the earliest inhabited parts of Gozo and contains significant archaeological sites, including the Xagħra Stone Circle and the Ġgantija megalithic temples, which date back to 3600 BC. The town also features various natural underground formations such as Ninu's Cave and Xerri's Grotto.
Additionally, Xagħra is home to Calypso's Cave, a site that overlooks the red sandy beach of Ramla Bay. These geographical and historical landmarks characterize the town's cultural and natural landscape.
