Tanoudert is a coastal town located in Mauritania within the Dakhlet Nouadhibou region. The settlement is situated along the coastline, positioned specifically to the east of a homonymous bay.
The town forms part of the Banc d'Arguin National Park. Geographically, it lies to the east of Cape Tagarit (Cap-Tagair), which is located further west along the coast.
