Hmawbi is a city located in the northern Yangon Region of southern Myanmar. It serves as the principal town of Hmawbi Township and is situated near the Yangon River.
On April 30, 2022, Hmawbi was designated as the capital of the newly formed Hmawbi District following a reorganization of the North Yangon District.
