Hlegu is a city located in the northern Yangon Region of Myanmar. It serves as the capital of the Hlegu District and functions as the administrative seat for Hlegu Township.
Situated approximately 45 km north-east of Yangon city, the town is positioned on both sides of the Ngamoyeik River. The urban area consists of five wards.
