Nansang, officially known as Nan San, is a city located in eastern Myanmar. It serves as the capital of the Nansang District within Shan State and functions as the seat of Nansang Township.
The city is the most populous settlement in the eastern central area of Shan State, with a recorded population of 26,060 in 2019. A significant portion of the residents reside in Ward 4, situated in the northwest part of the town. Nansang is located approximately 72 miles away from Taunggyi.
A notable landmark within the city is a pagoda located in its southern section, which is also known as Taung Paw Pagoda.
