Lawksawk, also known as Yatsauk, is a town located in the Shan State of Myanmar. It serves as the administrative center and capital of Lawksawk Township. Geographically, the town is situated at an altitude of 910 metres (2,990 ft) along an oxbow lake of the Zawgyi River.
The town is positioned approximately 48 kilometres (30 mi) north of Taunggyi and is accessible via National Route 43, which lies about 70 kilometres (43 mi) away. Historically, Lawksawk served as the capital of Lawksawk State. It is located near Bahtoo Station, which functions as a major military base.
