Kanbalu is a town located in the Shwebo District of the Sagaing Division in Myanmar. Situated in the north-western part of the county, it serves as the administrative seat for Kanbalu Township.
The town is positioned along the main Burmese north-south railroad connecting Sagaing and Myitkyina. As of 2014, the population of Kanbalu was recorded at 25,022.
