Pyin Oo Lwin, also known as Pyin U Lwin and formerly referred to by the colloquial name Maymyo, is a scenic hill town located in the Mandalay Region of Myanmar. It is situated at an elevation of 1,070 metres (3,510 ft) and lies approximately 67 kilometers (42 mi) east of the city of Mandalay.
The town had an estimated population of around 255,000 in 2014. It is characterized by its highland setting within the region.
