Myingyan is a city and district located in the Mandalay Division of central Myanmar. Historically, it served as a district within the Meiktila Division of Upper Burma. The city currently functions as the capital of Myingyan Township.
The city is situated along National Highway 2. According to 2014 data, the population of the city was 276,096, while the total population of the district was 1,055,957.
