Wakema is a town located in the Ayeyarwady Division of southwest Myanmar. It serves as the administrative seat of the Wakema Township within the Myaungmya District.
The town is home to the Government Technological Institute, Wakema. Additionally, it is recognized as the hometown of Sayadaw U Pannya Vamsa, a notable Buddhist missionary.
