Zegoua

Zégoua is a city and commune located in the Cercle of Kadiolo within the Sikasso Region of southern Mali. The commune encompasses an area of 978 square kilometers and consists of the town of Zégoua along with eight surrounding villages. According to the 2017 census, the total population of the commune was 230,360.

The city of Zégoua serves as the administrative center (chef-lieu) of the commune. It is situated in a strategic location approximately 2 km north of the border with Ivory Coast and 14 km southeast of Kadiolo. The city lies along the RN7, which is the primary road connecting Sikasso and Ouangolodougou.
