Tetovo is a city located in the northwestern part of North Macedonia. It serves as the seat of the Tetovo Municipality and is situated at an elevation of 468 meters (1,535 ft) above sea level.
The city is built on the foothills of Šar Mountain and is divided by the Pena River. The municipality covers a total area of 1,080 km2 (417 sq mi) and has a population of 63,176, making it the fifth largest city in the country.
