Kočani is a town located in the eastern region of North Macedonia. It is situated approximately 100 kilometres (62 mi) east of the national capital, Skopje.
The town serves as the administrative seat of the Kočani Municipality. As of 2021, it has a recorded population of 24,632 residents.
