Mae is an American rock band that was formed in Norfolk, Virginia, in 2001. The group's name serves as an acronym for "Multisensory Aesthetic Experience," which was the title of a course taken by the band's drummer, Jacob Marshall, during his time as a student at Old Dominion University.
