Sambava is a city and commune located on the east coast of northern Madagascar. It serves as the capital of both the Sambava District and the Sava Region. According to the 2018 commune census, the population of the area was 84,039.
The geography surrounding the city includes Ampasimbato Lake, which is situated to the north of Sambava.
