Kolašin is a town located in northern Montenegro with a population of 2,418. It serves as the center of the Kolašin Municipality and is considered an unofficial center of the Morača region, which is named after the Morača River.
The town is a prominent destination for winter tourism, featuring numerous hotels and apartments for the skiing season. During the summer months, it attracts visitors to the surrounding mountains of Bjelasica, Sinjajevina, and Komovi for hiking and sports events. Kolašin is also known as the birthplace of traditional dishes such as Lisnati sir and smočani kačamak.
The city hosts a diverse range of international tourists from countries including Israel, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, Slovakia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and various Balkan nations. In 2023, Kolašin hosted the MOSI Games, which gathered approximately 2,000 athletes in the city.
