Monaco-Ville is the southcentral ward located within the Principality of Monaco. Situated on a headland that extends into the Mediterranean Sea, the area is commonly referred to by the nickname "The Rock."
The district serves as the primary seat of the country's political and judicial infrastructure. It houses essential institutions including the Prince's Palace, the town hall, the government offices, and both the National and Municipal Councils. Additionally, the ward contains the nation's courts and a prison.
