Tiznit

Tiznit, also known as Tiznet, is a town located on the west coast of the Souss-Massa region in Morocco. Founded in 1881 by Alawi Sultan Hassan I, it serves as the capital of the Tiznit Province.

The name of the city translates to "Basket" in Berber. According to the 2014 Moroccan census, the town had a recorded population of 74,699 residents.
