Tafraout, also known as Tafraoute, is a town located in the Tiznit Province within the Souss-Massa region of Morocco. It is situated in the central part of the Anti-Atlas mountains, which form part of the larger Atlas Mountains in northwest Africa.
As of the 2024 census, the town has a population of 6,124 residents. Its geographic location is defined by its position within the rugged terrain of the mountain range.
