Marrakesh, also spelled Marrakech, is a major city located in Morocco. It serves as the capital of the Marrakesh-Safi region and holds the distinction of being the fourth-largest city in the country.
The city is recognized as one of the four imperial cities of Morocco. Geographically, it is situated to the west of the foothills of the Atlas Mountains.
