Tiflet

Tiflet is a town located in northwestern Morocco. It is situated geographically between the city of Rabat to the west and Khemisset to the east.

The region surrounding Tiflet possesses a rich history characterized by ancient settlements established by Berbers, Phoenicians, and Romans during the first millennium BC. The nearest major historical sites include Rabat and Volubilis.

The name Tiflet is derived from a contraction of the Tamazight word tififelt, which means "pepper." This term is itself borrowed from the Arabic word filfil.
