Bouknadel is a town located on the Atlantic coast of Morocco. It is situated geographically between the cities of Rabat to the south and Kenitra to the north.
The area is notable for hosting a former U.S. Naval Radio Transmitter Communications Station. Historically, the region's earliest permanent settlements are evidenced by Phoenician and Roman sites at Chellah, located slightly to the south on the banks of the Oued Bou Regreg.
