Taza is a city located in northern Morocco. It occupies the geographical corridor situated between the Rif mountains and the Middle Atlas mountains. The city is positioned approximately 120 km east of Fez and 150 km south of Al Hoceima.
The city serves as the capital of Taza Province. According to the 2024 Moroccan census, it recorded a population of 150,763 residents.
