Ajaylat is a small city and region situated in the Nuqat al Khams district of Libya. It is located approximately 80 kilometers west of the capital city, Tripoli.
Historically, the Ajaylat region served as an administrative district of Libya from 1983 to 1988, with the city of Ajaylat serving as its capital during that period.
