Wattala is a large suburb located in the Gampaha District of the Western Province in Sri Lanka. It is situated approximately 9 km (5.6 mi) northeast of the capital city, Colombo.
The area is positioned along the A3 highway, which serves as a primary transport route connecting Colombo and Negombo. Due to its location on this major thoroughfare, it functions as a significant residential and transit point within the Western Province.
