Panadura is a primary city situated in the Kalutara District of the Western Province in Sri Lanka. It is located approximately 25 km (16 mi) south of the capital city, Colombo.
The city is geographically surrounded by water on all sides, bordered by the Indian Ocean and Bolgoda Lake. Historically, Panadura served as an electoral district in Sri Lanka until 1989.
The area is notable for its role in the Buddhist revival movement in Sri Lanka. Additionally, Panadura Beach serves as a popular destination for both domestic and international tourists.
